Sass Rose

Yoga has been a part of Sass’s life for over 16 years. Having stumbled across her first Bikram yoga class at the young age of thirteen, she had no idea this would change the trajectory of her life. What continues to fascinate her about this style of yoga is the direct link and connection between mind and body in which she experienced during the early stages of her practice. Sass has experienced tremendous and almost instantaneous physical and mental healing benefits from her yoga practice and knew from a very young age this was something she wanted to share with the world.

In 2017 she attended her first 9 week Teacher Training in Acapulco, Mexico. Since then, she taught full time for one year at her home studio in the Gabba, Brisbane. Through this, she was offered a mentor and teaching opportunity in Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Oregon in which she travelled between, lived and taught for 2 years in 2018. This led to a teaching opportunity in Lima, Peru where Sass lived with a local family and taught in Spanish and English.

Over the past few years, Sass has expanded her practice to include many styles and teaches Mat Pilates, has completed her Level 1 Vinyasa 200hr Yoga Teacher Training, Yin, Restorative and Creative Sequencing Teacher Training modules, and is currently finishing her 500hr Yoga Teacher Training. Sass’s fascination with the body through yoga has evolved into the beautiful art of Traditional Hawaiian Massage and is a qualified Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage Therapist. Sasha is expanding her knowledge and currently studying holistic women’s health under the Mama Medicina Traditional Healing and Health with Andrea Lopez.

Love beams out of every action and word Sass says, and this is the energy she carries into all of her classes, massages and drumming. Her calm presence creates a nurturing and safe space to allow students to soften and reconnect to their own inner peace as well as their own inner rhythm.
